Ogni moto richiede pneumatici con una Categoria di Velocità adeguata.
La tabella seguente definisce le categorie di velocità normalmente utilizzate per i nostri pneumatici. La categoria di velocità definisce la velocità massima alla quale il pneumatico è omologato. Questo livello di omologazione è univoco quando si tratta di categorie di velocità limitate (J = 100 Km/h, S = 180 Km/h, H = 210 Km/h,...). Questo non è il caso della categoria di velocità (W), che non è limitata. In questo caso, è il fabbricante di pneumatici che dichiara la velocità massima del pneumatico, che deve corrispondere, come minimo, alla velocità massima della moto sulla quale è montato.
PER OGNI PNEUMATICO CON CATEGORIA DI VELOCITÀ (W) È IMPORTANTE CONOSCERE LA SUA VELOCITÀ MASSIMA DI OMOLOGAZIONE PER CONSIGLIARE IL CORRETTO EQUIPAGGIAMENTO DEI VEICOLI.
