Michelin designs the «Desert» tyre for all- terrain rally raid motorcycles. That year the tyre wins the Atlas Rally and the Pharaohs Rally and goes on to demonstrate its amazing potential by winning the 1983 Paris-Dakar Rally - the first of 36 consecutive victories.

Launch of the MICHELIN Power Race tyre, the first sport tyre approved for road use with MICHELIN 2CT technology.
2008 Michelin and Harley-Davidson sign a historic partnership agreement: MICHELIN Scorcher tyres are co-developed and co-branded as original equipment and replacement tyres for many of the iconic brand s models.
2010 Michelin presents the MICHELIN City Grip tyre for scooters, a tyre with exceptional grip, even on wet surfaces. It s the 1st scooter tyre with siping.
2011 Michelin succeeds in integrating siping into MICHELIN Pilot Road 3 tyres thanks to its patented XST technology, a great improvement for safety on wet roads.
2013 Co-development with BMW Motorrad to equip the worldwide bestseller in its category; the BMW R1200 GS.
2014 Launch of the MICHELIN Pilot Road 4, with the GT version using revolutionary MICHELIN 2AT Dual elements of both radial and bias.
2016
Michelin step back into MotoGP ™, setting lap and race records in their very first season.
2018 Introduction of the new sports touring radial MICHELIN Road 5 with the new technologies XST Evo and ACT+.
2019 MICHELIN renews the Trail range with the launch of the Michelin Anakee Adventure. For the dedicated off road enthusiasts the new Michelin Tracker takes over from the long standing AC10.
2019 Michelin is the official tyre supplier to the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup.
2020 With 10 new tyres, Michelin is renewing a large part of its range from urban tyres to track and off-road tyres.
2022 Michelin presents the successors of a very well known range: the MICHELIN Road 6 and MICHELIN Road 6 GT. And also the StarCross range was renewed - the Starcross 6 was launched - entirely this year with the introduction of Michelin Silica Technology for better durability.
