MICHELIN 2wheeL - 21
The new generation of X-radial carcass combined with a reinforcement ply provides the optimal solution for heavy motorcycles by improving the riding comfort without compromising on safety.
The thick tread layer is backed by three reinforcing plies to enhance the tyre s protection against punctures.
bias belted michelin
technology The carcass of the bias belted tyre takes all of the benefits of bias construction and then increases potential for stability by resisting centrifugal growth in higher speed applications through the use of a belt formed from additional diagonal plies in the crown area
The carcass of a Bias tyre consists of 2 or more diagonally orientated carcass plies. The overlap angle of these plies can be changed to give differing properties to the finished tyre. The structure is uniform, and the tyre crown area has similar properties to the sidewalls, because of this, load bearing is very good.
A highly dense, more rigid tyre casing, which helps deliver excellent feedback and handling. Aramid tread plies reduce weight, provide excellent stability and resist centrifugal growth even at speed and under high temperatures.
